I just got a 86 250r it was just rebulit it runs really good but it goes through 1 sparkplug every one tank of gas. I dont know what the problem could be. Can someone help me?

your jetting?? Hows the plug look when you pull it out? Also what r u mixing your gas at?

The plug is black about half way down, then after that it looks like new.

I mix my gas at 32:1

if it looks like new then how is it fouling? whats your jetting at do you know?

The plug is black. It has stock jetting.

sounds to me like you need to fix your jetting. Is the bike stock? if not whats done to it

at this point the best thing to do is to cover the bases and start with a leak down test to see if the crank seals are bad. if that checks out ok then do a plug chop to determine which circuit needs attention as for as jetting.

Maybe you're not riding hard enough? Letting it idle too long? Not shaking up your gas + oil mixture enough?

yeah check your jetting,if your just puttin around then it could be loading up on you.If your jetting checks out,try a step hotter plug,are you using a b8es?i think the 88 and 89s called for a b9es.
