How fast do you guys cruise when pulling a 20ft trailer ?

I have a 6x12 enclosed. I pull it with my Mercury Mountaineer (with V8 + towing package). Generally I lock it out of overdrive and set the cruise on 70mph. We have fairly hilly terrain here in NY. If it was all flat then I could probably kick in the overdrive.

Edit: I average 12mpg with this setup. I will say this does include some pretty good hills though which really does a number on the mileage at times.

I have an 18ft enclosed and I pull it about 65 with the overdrive on(7.3 powerstroke). Gets about 15 mpg that way. I could go faster but this destroys the mpg.

i'm pulling a 20ft race trailer.and fully loaded with bikes,pitbikes,tools,ect i'm cruzing about 70mph.and i'm pulling it with a 03 dodge ram v8.has 22inch wheels so thats not helping at all.kills me in gas:mad:

big trailer and a few quads = sucky gas milage lol the trailer we have is 12'x4.5' thats the area you have to put something on. Fits 2 quads nicely and you can take a 400ex and actually have it sideways on it even though some of it hangs off a little but its been done. Also standing them up on the grab bar has been done in the back of the truck and on the trailer lol. We towed a 20+ foot trailer with 4 400ex on it they all fit without hanging off or anything and we wasted like a tank full of gas going like 40 miles in a V8 dodge dakota. On top of the 4 400ex on the trailer there were 1 or 2 in the bed of the truck aswell. It was expensive for that riding day.
