We bought 2 ktm's in april and have had nothing but problems. Both exhausts are leaking where it leaves the motor, both motors pop when you let of the gas, both are smoking, the handlebars cause arm pump, one of the back hubs stripped out, with 10 races on it the front ball joints are gone. I was also wondering if anybody tried a suspension setup for woods racing. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

The exhaust leak is something others have had problems with. Try some high-temp silicone. The popping sounds like you need a bigger pilot jet. The KTM's are jetted a little lean from the factory.
As for suspension there is a guy named Rocket Ron that does good suspension work. He has a good XC setup for these. Go to www.ktmatvhq.com. His info is on the site.

handlebars dont cause arm-pump, the way you ride does

I've heard about the ball joint issue and read somewere that you can get better ones from Houser or one of those companies. Hubs are going to wear out for anyone who rides hard for a long enough period of time, I just keep mine tight but they still get wobble in them on any machine.

10 races on one set of ball joints...you are doing good i was lucky to get 3 out of mine, but the arm pump is coming from your STIFF ***** suspension, get in touch with rocket ron he has these figured out!!! i couldn't keep my hubs tight like they are supposed to be so i had to tighten them after each race. the exhaust is a common problem with these you have to have the headpipe on the perfectly
