whats up all, just picked up my first 400ex. been a 2 stroke guy my whole life, have a banshee but i wanted something to trail ride with and mess around with around the house. i picked up a pretty clean 2000 for 1700. came with a title, renthal bars, white bro exhaust, ac nerfs, kenda klaws on red labels all around, extra stock front rims/tires, rear realtors on stock rims, a helmet and a brand new set of thor gloves. i think i did ok for 1700.
i noticed that these air cooled beasts get hotter than my banshee. i have already ordered the 4" spal fan for the oil cooler and air scoops. i installed new oil but have yet to run it after the change. upon oil removal it was very thin...almost watery...and looked like it was separating after the oil sat in the pan...any ideas? maybe 2or3 different types of oils? i dont know. well anyway great site!
