OEM left hand controls - Differences

I'm in the process of re-installing lights to the '86 R I bought a few months ago. I've since switched to the '88 - '89 hood / light and now need the left hand controls. Are all the years interchangeable? Anyone have a nice control set for sale before I order one from service honda?

I put a 89 hood and light on a 86, no issues. The plug went into the bulb. I believe the switch cluster for 86-89 is the same.

Thanks for the reply, I just wondered because the 88 / 89 has a different part number for the controls than the 86 / 87. I guess it doesn't really matter though.

they have slight differences, I think the early ones have dimples on the on-off slider and the later ones are smooth. the button colors are just a hair different. functionally and wire-ing up they are the same though.
