I bought my 400 used, among other things I discovered and fixed I noticed the rear brake pedal seems to have a hole in it that runs into and through the frame.

Looks as if a bolt goes through the pedal and frame and gets held on by a nut. Its not threaded in any matter either. Is there supposed to be a bolt there? I was gonna bo buy a grade 8 nut/bolt to fix this but wanted to be sure first.

Oh btw, the castle nut on the lower ball joint was the wrong kind, the kid used what appears to be an upper BJ castlenut on the lower. This explains why I had a squeak and that side felt loose. I hope the dealer doesnt charge 10 bucks for it..

Thanks for help in advance.

There is no bolt, i thought the same thing at first too, but there should be a kotter key on the other side.
