Just ran a 2 inch stick through the sidewall of stock rear tire .
wondered which tire was better ?
I ride mostly woods but also ride on pavement and gravel roads. I would like to here from people who have owned both if possible. thanks in advance

Razr2 in my oponion, I have had both Razr2 and 6 ply Razr. The regular Razr's slide better and are lighter but don't bite as good for me. The Razr2's slide decent and have alot of bite. I love my Razr2's

do they wear about the same?

I personally like regular razrs best for the rear. They are versatile and grip excellent and are very predicatable and I have to be able to slide the rear end around without it catching. Razr 2 seem to have sidebite that I dont want.

i have razr 2's all around my 400 and i agree, they are harder to slide around. it just all depends on what kind of riding you do though, i have my bike manily set up for hill climbing and they do great for that. if you just ride easy trails i recomend getting the regular razrs because you dont need the extra tread for that kind of riding. like said above, its popular to have razr 2's up front and regular on the rear too.

Not from my experience with them. The forward bite is much better than the Razr2's. They may wear faster but the Razr2's don't slide as well and the Razrs don't bite as well

ITP all they do is say 2lbs lighter than razr, lighter than maxxis, lightest tire out there... I dont believe any of that

edit: GNCC are 2lbs lighter tha razr 2 but the same weight as regular razrs and razrs have a wider area to grip.

I like my razrs alot. they slide good and grip great for what I do. I have never tried the razr 2's though. They seem to be really aggressive. My razr's are on quad roks too they are pretty heavy duty so they are a tad heavier than my stock tires on stock rims. Steve

i didnt own both, but i had the razrs on mine and i rode another with razr 2s...IMO the razr2s took some of the fun out of riding cuz they hooked up too well. it was hard to slide it and such. the razrs are some of the best tires i have ever run and i love them. i tried a set of kendas and i will be switching back to the razrs as soon as these wear out. i have the razr2's on the front though and they are amazing. i got 200 hrs on the front tires and they still got half their tread.

ive run bandits, razr mx's, and kenda klaws.

the klaws were by far the best tire ive owned, or ridden on. i traded them for the razr's and they were 1.5 years old and still had tons of tread left on them.

the bandits were terrible, worst tire you can buy.

and the razr's i just got so i dont have a full detailed review on them besides that that hook up well..

razr2 fronts, holeshot hd rears, grips good, lasts long time. holeshot gncc's are real good, but don't last as long if you ride hard terrain ( rocky or roads).Roost on!
