Hey guys, I just installed a Honda HRC clutch kit. I installed everything excactly how it should be. (All the plates, juder spring and seat). My lever had a lot of slop in it which seems weird being it should have less now. I adjusted it all the way out and the slop is about where it's suppose to be but I have to FULLY pull the lever in to get it to disengage. Even with the lever pulled all the way in I still don't think it's FULLY disengaging. Anyone have any ideas???? Thanks!

P.S. by the way when I did the clutch install I tipped the quad way up on its side so I wouldn't loose any clutch oil. Well later on I started it and shut it off. I went to pull the oil fill cap (on the engine side) and oil shot out of there as If it were way overfull. Is it possible that oil from the clutch side got over to the engine side while it was tipped on it's side? Just seems strange to me.... thanks

Are you positive you put everything back the right way? Do you have a manual?

Yep. Judder spring seat went in first followed by the spring. Then the shallow thinner fiber went in first. The a steel, fiber, etc. etc. I lined up all the notches (Not that it matter for clutch feel) and cocked to last one in the shallow groove. Put to plate back on and then springs and bolts?

How about the rod and the top hat looking thing. Did the clutch lever that the cable hooks to on the motor spin. If so the rod might not be making contact in the spot where it belongs.

I never unhooked the cable when I did the clutch

did you put the bearing and washer back on the end of the push rod?

did you soak the clutches in oil or put them in dry?

I would start with a fresh oil change since you say you tipped it over to save the oil. I have had this happen on my bikes where the push rod is not sitting right, you might want to re-inspect it.
