Ok, the premis is pretty simple and you have 4 months to get your pictures ready and you even still have time to actually capture/take one that could be a winner!


Rules: Picture must be taken by YOU in 2008 . Any images posted with a watermark will be removed. You may include your name for credit of the photograph

It can be anything you'd like, but I think its only fair to add that photoshop or similiar program was used beyond basic post processing(if its not obvious)


Thats correct, YOU have to have taken the picture.....and Ive seen and read about 99.5% of the pics that have been posted here so if you did NOT take the picture, remove it or dont post it. Only pictures YOU took are eligible.

Here are my submissions. I have a ton of shots that I took at the ATV Nationals at Birch Creek earlier, but decided to submit several of my best photos of friends. In fact, one friend is in alot of the shots I have included.....he goes by DareDevilQRacer on most forums.

I try to do as little PP as possible. Sometimes you can't help it though, as we all know. I believe the ones with more PP are obvious, as you can tell I was shooting in harsh light. Other than that, a slight bump in contrast/brightness, and some sharpening here and there....

I geuss I should clarify the 1 per catagory in that I will only chose 1 submission in each catagory for the final drawing, so if you post 2 say in most creative, only 1 will be chosen.

The biggest thing here is that YOU take the picture. If you didn't then it will be discarded. This is about YOU and YOUR work.

Also pappy, how do you keep your images crisp when you convert from RAW to JPEG? I find I lose a lot of the colour and sharpness when I save it as a JPEG.

Thx....it was taken with a 24-70 nikkor@ 24mm. We had a good time doing this shoot! Andy is a Pro, and not just as a racer. he understands the value of promotion and wanted to do everything I needed to help me get shots that would make him stand out for his fans and sponsors. Alot of people act like a shoot is a PITA....and thats a shame. I am having less issues these days because people want my work and they are willing to listen and try to do what I want them to.

i just realized how little i actually did this year....

i've got one pic for the funny... and its nothing great, i wont say names but he was wearing a snowboarding jacket and beanie when it was about 45 degrees or so the first week of january last winter just north of dallas TX... anyone from cold weather states might find a little humor in this...
