got a 05 or 06 bottom end on my 400 .. it has reverse .. i went to replace the timing chain so i took off the clutch side case and there was a little spring laying in the bottom of the motor prob 1/2 tall and little thinner then your pinky ... i have no idea where this came from or where it goes ... any help or ideas ??????

It's is clutch lever spring gos inside the right chakcase cover

I know exactly what that is. Its the spring for your clutch to move and spring back. the lever that you see on top of the case sticking out, look on the underside inside the case and you will see a piece sticking down and there will be a slot for it to stay in. The spring is there so there is tension when you grab the clutch lever and it will spring back.

awsome thanks a ton i was stressing ... this is my 2nd motor and when i found this i was thinking oh no here we go again lol
