axle bearings

i cannot get the outer race of my bearing out of the carrier. i tryed to cut it out and it still won't budge so i tried to heat up the carrier to get it out and it still would not come out. any tips? thanks

I always use a flathead an a hammer. But it does take a few tries because the flathead tends to slip off the bearing. but you should eventuly get it.

ya i tried that first. the bearing got fried while i was riding so by the time i noticed it it was pretty bad. i think it got hot and may have like welded itself to the carrier.

Bearing carriers are pretty pricey so i would keep trying different ways to get it out lol..I actuly just had to replace my carrier in my 300ex because it was cracked.

ya i replaced it two years ago. it hurt the wallet lol
