Oil Change

Gonna help a buddie of mine change his oil. He's new to the sport and doesn't know a whole lot yet, and I'm not sure what kind of oil to put in his 300. I used to run the GN4 in mine, but I don't think he wants to spend the money on that because he will just be trail riding and most likely not racing. Any help?

I'm thinking just some 10W40 from AutoZone or NAPA. Not sure on brand though.

not from experience, but i've heard that car oil is an awful idea

i run the kind "meant" for quads by maxima and i ride pretty much all trails. doesn't hurt to be safe

if he's racing run a 50w. and standard engineer oil is fine, change it before every race. if your just screwing around, run a 50w and use a better oil. just what I done. Other will tell you to run syn` and 25 a pint oil, to me, that's bs. I've never lost a motor to oil.
