nope. But you can have it done which will help the cylinder last much longer.

From what ive been told, you can suck dirt into the intake and all it would hurt is the rings. I know that the piston and rings arent nearly as hard as nickel is, so they shouldnt even scratch it.

Interesting I've never seen or heard of anyone doing this to a 400ex, not saying you can not just saying I've never seen it lol.

i think it helps it stay cool too. i seazed my cr 80 when i was little and i took it to my dads mechanic and he said if it wasnt for the nickel plating it would of seazed rock hard. he only pulled the head and dumped oil in it and let is seep through and it broke loose. i dont no if its regular or not but thats what he said. and btw i thought all hondas have nickel plated cylinders.?

No, just the trx and crf 450 and 250. The 700xx might have it too, im not sure and im also not sure which of the two strokes have it.
