86 250r swinger on 250x

will it work or has anyone tried it? want to upgrde 250x rear suspension any ideas.

88-89 would be a better choice. there's no gap inbetween where the swingarm bolt goes through and it's not as long.

to do this, you'll have to get EVERTYHING 250r for the rear. (shock, carrier, axle, linkage, etc.) you'll also have to make mounts for the linkage on the frame.

it's pretty much the same thing as the 450r conversion. if you do a search, there's a few threads on it. it just used the 450r swinger instead of the 250r

thanks for the info. i saw that you had a 88 swinger on your bike. i just had an 87 laying around and was seeing if i could use it or if we were going to sell it but thanks for your time
