anyone tried running a 16/36 im thinking about switching to that since i will soon have a 460 stroker kit on mine with the little bit of mods that i have now i love the 16/38 setup i couldnt really tell the differents in the low end with the 15/38 maybe because i had three tooth broke on it and finally 2 more broke when i replaced it

16/36... How fast are you trying to go anyway?

thats quite the difference but a 440 or 460 stroker done right can easily pull through that gearing. When y friend had his 440 stroker it was up 1 tooth on the front and +1200 rpm or so and it had no problem getting there

well im a big guy but the way my bike was running on the trail or the street was fine i lined up against my friend he had a 440 kit but everything else was stock he jumped me bye about a bike and 1/2 and i ran him down and beat him by about 1 1/2 bikes so then he sold his 440 honda on craiglist and bought a raptor 660 that has white bros pipe k n filter and jetkit and the race was the exact opposite but he wasnt pulling away on me once he got there when he had the 440 i was still pullin him at the end of the race

I'm not saying that the motor can't pull it. I'm saying you will be doing nearly 100 before you wind it out. Since I never want to run that fast, I have 14/38 gearing on mine. Pulls hard on bottom, tops out just around 70.
