so i have an '08 kfx 450 that I need to sell. It has about a season and a half of hare scramble hours on it. it's a great quad and I've loved riding it.
I was sitting in the top 3 in the stock class and my brother rode it a few times in B class. He was actually sitting in first after 2 races in B class on a stock machine. It's a great quad.
Recently it broke down and, according to my mechanic, needs about $800 - $1000 worth of work on the engine. This guy knows his stuff so i believe that it will really cost that much, but i don't have the money for that. I am hoping to get a little feedback on what to do.
Would it be worth trying to sell with a bum engine?
or try to sell it at a price to include the engine work?... simply with the idea of handing the quad over in excellent working condition and the buyer wouldnt have to worry about geting it done themselves.
It's so new, i dont even know if there's an engine out there that i could buy.
I dont know, I'm just throwing things out there.
this is frustrating because I'm basically paying for something i cant even use and i'm just digging myself a hole with it.
any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
