New to the 400ex and I have one time for rebuild. I have read just about every post for the last 15 pages over the last few hours. LOL
Heres what it has already...

After market cdi box
HMF slip-on.
K&N filter with 2 large holes cut in the air box lid.

I am a wood/trails rider and hill climber.
What should I do while it is down.

Hows does this sound, am i forgetting something??.
416 Piston wiseco 11:1
Stage 2 cam
CRF 450 timing chain
New chain tensioner
Valve seals.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

HD studs from gt thunder, there like $55. Cheap insurance, plus eventually you will go up from the 416 and you will need them anyway. Cometic top end gasket kit. Clymers manuel will help you along the way if you plan to do it yourself.

Thanks again
