You guys were right--THrottle Adjustment

Hey I saw someone yapping about the adjustment on the throttle cable. I checked mine on my 2001 400ex and after adjusting it....I found that I had been missing about 30% of my top end power.

Wow what a difference. I checked my buddies ex and it was the same thing. Thanks for the tip.

Yah, how do you adjust it on a 400ex?

slide the rubber boot at the thumb trottle down..losen the lock nut on the adjuster with pilers..adjust the adjuster out enough till you gain full throttle..make sure not enought to keep the throttle open and give a higher idle...turn the bars back and forth while ideling to make sure it doesn't rev...tighten the lock nut back down with pilers to make sure its tight and slip the rubber back on
