How can i seperate the connectors in the wiring harness without destroying everything?

What do you mean? Pull the pins out of the connectors?

Im not really sure what everything is called because im no good with electrics and stuff so bear with me lol. There is one big wiring harness kinda by the carb and there are a bunch of plastic squarish things connecting all the wires (from different places on the quad, like the carb and brakes and stuff) together. How can i separate the squarish things from one another?

They have tabs that you have to push, in order to get them to release. Some can be tricky - you may have to use a flathead to "coax" them out.

It's kind of hard to understand how they go together until you actually get them apart - then you will be able to see how they fit.
