For those with YZ/EX hybrids. How did you mount your airbox? I'm having trouble figureing out how to mount my airbox to the FCR carb. The carb seems to be fit pretty tight to the rear top frame rail. Pics wil be apreciated.

Also heard of some using the Yamaha yfz450 quad air box boot.

If I recall they said the bent and the contour of the boot seem to fit.
Again I`ve not seen it.

Any pics yet?

Good luck.

Hey ss440ex, yes I did see this pic. But I want to see what others have done. I would have to cut my subframe and the guy who is doing my welding is taking a very long time so I cant imagine how long it will take him to do this mod.

I'd be more interested in trying out the yfz450 boot before cutting up my frame. Does anyone have any pics?

Hopefully others will chime in with thier ideas....
Try to keep the intake boot free of any major kinks!

we have ss400ex air box. on our first frame we cut it like the pic. after we destroyed the frame and started with a new one i didnt want to cut it. problem was with the frame not cut the rad hose we used to hook to the carb and air box would flatten out and restrict air flow. i went to the auto parts store and bought a rad hose with the big spring inside it. used the spring on our hose and solved the problem.

Do you have any pics. Did you cut your subframe?
