i want a better rear tire then my razr mx's. i need something that will be an all around good tire for loose and hard packed tracks. any info on these tires would be great, esp if you've tried a few of them yourself.

i got the mxr6's and i am extremely pleased. its been muddy, soft, hard packed, and everything in between. They have yet to disappoint me ..

If the MXR6s are anything like the MXR4s then they must be awesome. I've ridden on Kenda Klaws and hated them... they slide nicely but they have no foward bite lol.

I've ran all and then some. I have NOT run the quadcrosses yet, but they look like they'd be a modern day turf tamer.

Holeshots are one of the best for traction in my opinion. They are sticky and the bite awesome. The reasons I dont buy them though are price and longevity. Once they lose that square edge biting surface they are almost useless.

Kenda Klaws are a great affordable tire and an excellent choice for trail riders and some racers. The problem I had with these is they dont hook up worth anything once they lose that little square edge similar to the holeshots, but the klaws are much more dramatic. They lose even a tiny bit of the lip and they are useless, which is why I think people say they dont have that much traction. They seem to work really good if the conditions are perfect though. If I did trails only I'd buy these because of how long they last and they still work decent, but wont get that hard biting traction you're looking for on a starting gate.

Kenda knarly ST's are one of my favorite MX tires. They last a long time, even when they round off they still bite awesome. One of the best tractionable tires I've used, right up there with holeshots and I think better on really soft terrain. The only down fall with these tires is they are a little heavy, but on my 450 I didn't notice, and I think the weight may have helped in some really soft terrain. I had a low end cam and these tires and the quad pulled like a tractor. They are also extremely affordable.

My vote is the knarlys.

I much prefer the 9.5 wide ones for MX, they hook up way better.
