For sale is a custom slip on for a 400ex or cannondale. Comes with the muffler, mounting hardware, and a mid pipe. I had the can built for my cannondale, but also had a midpipe sent for a 400ex incase I wanted to switch it between my cannondale and my 400ex. It has been mounted, but has never been ran. Not even started up. I have decided to go a different direction with my cannondale, so this is up for sale.

$140 plus shipping takes it home.

Here is a pic of it mounted on my cannondale. I do have everything for a 400ex also. The can would just mount to the other side.

Here is a close up pic. The midpipe is obviously different. The one in the pic is a custom application.

A picture of the 400 midpipe and the can. The midpipe is just turned the opposite way. Like I said, this is brand new. Never ran or even had the bike started with it mounted.

I wish I could give you a sound clip. I honestly have never heard it. The company I had build it for me said it will be around 99-100 dbs at it's loudest. It does have a spark arrestor in it, but is just a small screen. Forgot to mention that.

Oh yeah.. It's got a straight through tapered core in it also. starts at 2" and tapers to 1 3/4". Creates a reverse megaphone effect for nice low-mid pop. Should be a very nice top end increase too.

So if they are right, it's not obnoxiously loud, but should have a nice low rumble, and great performance gains.

Different mid-pipes bolt onto the canister. One is bent one way, the other is bent opposite to fit the 400ex.

And it has a universal mount on the actual canister to allow it to mount to your stock exhaust bracket area

Yes, thanks guys.

Here is the deal. They don't make many exhaust for the dale. I found a company that would build me a custom can to my specs. They asked if I wanted a midpipe because they usually send one free of charge. I couldn't get any specs because I didn't have my header for my dale yet. I also own a 426ex so I had them send me a midpipe for the 400. The midpipe and canister are 2 seperate pieces. The one for the dale I bent myself and had ceramic coated.

so what is the unit made of, aluminum, stainless? what was the pipe designed for, top end, mid, bottom, gains all through? i like the pipe but i dont want to wast money on a steel top end pipe when im looking at a hmf penland pro carbon fiber for my 400 and will have almost 8hp gain all the way through the powerband. does it have any way to put a spark arrestor in it?
or does it have one?

The can is made out of aluminum. The endcaps are cnc'd billet aluminum. The core is tapered and is made of stainless. There is a spark arrestor in it that can be replaced, removed, or reinstalled while repacking.

I had the tapered core built in it instead of the straight core for a reverse megaphone effect. That gives great low, mid gains and noticable top end improvements as well. So I'd say it is an all around pipe. I definately did not want a top end pipe when I had this built and I told the company that.

I cannot gurantee any numbers, but I'm sure it will be a very nice pipe with very good gains. I'm actually selling this because I know it will work, and the company is gonna build me a carbon fiber can just like it. It is twice as much though, so I thought I'd sell this and at least get some of my money back for the new one.

This pipe is prolly as good as anyother..yeah thats what HMF claims but its really not anywhere near that much..2-3HP maybe..they all give about that same.

I agree. Not that the hmf is not a good pipe. Claims are just that. Claims. This will be a nice pipe for someone. Like I said, I have a carbon fiber version on the way. That is why this one has to go.

And this is half the price of any other brand new slip on.
