Why not, Nothing else to do.

I go to bed around 4am every morning and get up at 1pm. Im nocturnal.


edit. Yea ive got some. kinda old but whatever.. After I get a 90 tailgate relocate the handle and a roll pan ill start on getting ready to paint it.

I work in a tool and die shop...operating one of the biggest machines there. Its called a boring mill...looks simlar to this, just quite a bit bigger.

anything from plastic injection molds that make the pop bottles you drink out of or the garbage cans you throw them into when your done...to gear boxes for all those giant *** windmills you see in the middle of the ocean, to 90" chambers that make the film for solar panels...a lotta parts for machines that make paper plates, just all depends whats ordered

AHHH a good ol G&L boring mill. Spent many long nights on one of those. What kind of travel have you got on your axis'. Right now im currently running a G&L VTL with a 63 inch table and live tooling. I am currently running a gearbox for a GE windmill. Is that who your running gearboxes for also???

its a 120" G&L...120" of travel on the X, 94 in the Y I believe, 48 in my W/Z

Yes we are running the GE gear boxes, but are also doing them for another company called Clipper Wind which is about 5 times as big and 10 times as much of a pain in the *** lol

Is your shop doing all of the finish line boring on the GE parts also?

No Sh**??? we are runnin clipper too, but im not. its in another dept. lol thats pretty neat. Yes we are doing the finish line boring too but that is also done on a different machine.

haha oh my yes we are...........7 days a week every week. And they ride ya pretty hard when you aint workin it. Yea we are climate controlled all year around 68 degree +/- 2 degree. i have about a 7 hour a** time a night so i cant complain

were not on 7 days a week yet, and I really dont tihnk they'll push that. I know I sure as hell wont work that...being 20 years old and working 6 12's is bad enough. Were not at 68 degrees yet...our shop is huge and we were under-quoted for our AC unit...we only got half of what we need right now so its staying around 75 during the day and 70 at night, with the units blasting 100% of the time.

Thats about what it takes our lathe operator gets too...you guys are nuts running them big lathes...I love big parts, just not when they spin.

I got a lotta my moves down, rock the baby, around the world, i can throw it in the air and catch it in my pocket. The one thing im working on is walking the dog....i just cant seem to get it. Hopefully within the next year I'll be at the pro ranks
