So ive been doing alot of work on my 400 since i got it about a month ago. So far i have painted the frame, replaced the steering stem, tie rods and ends, replaced the nerf bars with pro armors, replaced oil tank because someone overtightened the drain bolt and i went to loosen it and snapped the weld, and got some new wheels and tires. Also i threw in a few pictures from a trip up to Newfoundland. My father lives there and has a grizzly 660 and borrowed his buddies polaris 800. We put about 200 miles on them in 3 days. Trails up there go for thousands of miles. Theyre endless, and my 400 would have been stuck 10 minutes into the trails. Some serious water and rocks. There were some parts that would have been awesome for my quad but once you get deep into the trails they start getting serious.

Thanks man, i love these wheels and tires. The razr 2's grip so much better than the holeshots that came on it. And they will slide when i want em to so i can pull some nice donuts in the dirt. I raced a friend of a friends Yamaha 450 today and it was very close, couldnt wind out all the gears but it was close til 4th, and im a very inexperienced rider.

I dont know i havent hit anything that would damage them but my buddy has had a set for a while and says theyre very durable. All the reviews ive heard said that theyre almost impossible to damage. deep water (http://s214.photobucket.com/albums/cc90/johnjj728/?action=view&current=MOV01481.flv)

Theres a pretty good video from some water on my trip.

I have the Baja rims on mine, and I can say they are hellraisin tuff.
Mine have the reinforcing rings on both sides though... hummm...

Anyways, I've put mine to the test for sure, but have not topped their limit.

JJ400EX,

What size and offsets are your baja's? What kind of overall width do you have with them?

I need a set of fronts similar to yours... due to the custom grind someone else did on my steering. (Turns sharp enough to make contact).

well, in his previous threads, the guy before him raced it. Im assuming he either had a hybrid or put the xr400 kick starter on it.
To sell, he probably put the electric start and all back on.

Thats my guess. I wish it had a kick start because my starter sucks when it heats up. MtnEX im not sure of the offset i ordered them from Rocky Mountain and didnt specify an offset. I can measure the overall width for you tomorrow if you want.

Oh yeah, quad starts fine. If i stall it a few times and restart it the starter doesnt like to work too well. It will crank and once i give it a little gas starter stops. Do i need to replace the entire starter or is it something else?

That's odd. If it weren't for the fact the starter works when cold, I would assume it's the battery. It's obvious he had kickstart something on there, so I wouldn't imagine the starter has much time on it.
