this was my original. i don't have pics of the first rebuild i did, but it was standard blue and yellow. then i smoked the top end ice racing and redid it again.
it has a eric gorr engine, PT exhaust, burgard arms and swingarm, elka susp, etc...

then after talking with dr.q for awhile back on macdizzy, i decided to make it a hybrid. it had a dr.q mx engine, carb and exhaust and the other parts from the original.

after that i bought a full laeger R....missed the suzuki, but like the handling of the R...so i searched and searched and found this...
a JP outlaw lt250/500. full trx250r t pin front end, 250r rear linkage, pep shocks, narrow frame, dr.q 540 HRD engine, carb and hybrid pipe.

and i'm looking to trade my honda R for a aftermarket framed LT, either 250 or 500....

i've only rode it twice...the second time i was on it, it still had a hacked up dg pipe and a pwk carb. i hit like a 40 ft double and wrecked! it has so much power that i barely needed to hit the throttle and ended up looping it out. needed a new stem and grabbar. took the time to install the pipe and now i'm waiting on the Q carb, should be here this week.

That quad is sweet, I just bought a 87 lt500r for $800 from a friend and it runs real good. I finally got it out on the trails 2 weeks ago, it rides good and its very fast but I was racing on a short (sand) drag strip and kept getting beat by a bad *** banshee and a yz250 2 stroker, I need to know what to do to the quadzilla not to loose to these guys cuz I know that it has the power to beat them guys. Any help would be great and who is dr.q.

You know I was never really into Suzuki Quads, but after hearing a little more about the 250r Laeger suspension and 250r geo, it makes me think alot more of them. I had a buddy years ago that had one , but blew the thing up every other weekend!! I like the fact that the pipe is on the oppisite side of the bike so ur able to kickstart the dam thing without ur foot hitting the pipe everyother kick. Cause all Honda 250r guys know that if you run a big pipe then ur gonna be dodging that pipe when ur starting it. And it you have a big motor along with that big pipe which is normally the case then all that compression just makes it even harder to start. So aside from having to change all the geometery over to the Honda style so the bike handles well, at least Suzuki got the kickstart problem solved! HA HA!. I just playing I really like ur bike and would love to see the numbers is puts up!! A 540 built monster has to be a handfull. I guess it never ends. Pretty soon we'll all be runnin Nitro methane bikes ha ha. Keep us posted on this thread I wanna follow it! Thanks Higgy!
