I got douglas .190's and am running cross country. I am worried that they wont hold up well in rocky conditions. So ive decided to get wheel rings welded in. What I want to know is how much durability they have to withstand the stresses of xc racing.
Any reply would be much appreciated.

thanks:D

I just bought a set of OMF reinforced ring rear rims. I haven't ridden on them yet, but they seem to be stronger than a mofo.

They look sweet.

Honestly anything can be broken.

The diff between the std .190 and the race welds is like dropping a champagne glass to the floor v/s a brick.

I cant say anything bad about them but the price.

I used to bend (to point of not being able to repair or straighten)non ringed wheels
now w/rings ,...no more bent wheels :D

Are you all talking about regular .190's with just the rings welded in? I think that would strengthen it up quite a bit, i already kinked one of mine. Pics anyone?

Thanks a lot!
