426ex wont rev past mid range, bottom end runs great but when u get to mid range and top it cuts out like a rev limiter, big gun rev box swapped coil and voltage reg with another ex and replaced plug, checked timing and valve clearance, swapped jet and cleaned carb and adjusted needle valve with no difference, please help thanks hondamxerd

Did you clean your filter and look to see if theres anything clogging the intake?

yes its clean and nothing in the way even took it off and run it still no difference

You could possibly be running lean or rich.

Does it smoke at all?

i have tried changing the main jet and needle valve setting with no change, the motor sounds good no clicking from the valves and no smoke.....is thier a wire or something that could be grounded that could cause an abnormal limiter? would weak gas cause this? the gas came out of a can that i have run other things on.....it feels exactly like a rev limiter just shuts down and when it slows down a little it picks up and then the shuts down again.....wat bout too much gas.....
