I have a 2007 525 IRS. Initialy I had the JD jet kit, HMF slip on, K&N filter and was not happy with the result. I was looking for more top end and top end grunt. I bought a vortex cdi and did not get any magic. Dyno'ed at 47 HP Rear wheels.
I fitted a 540 Kit, got the head flowed and ported and fitted a custom Yoshi full system + SXS 540 cam. I have had such good results that I have set the Vortex back to standard setting. I have not had time to re dyno but I really have not felt the need as my results have been just what I wanted.
