my 06 grenaded the tranny. I just bought a complete 07 transmission. I heard that the 07 transmissions dont have the meshing problem that the 06's do, is this correct? In that case, i wont need to get the moto-xperts tranny mod then as i would be putting an 07 trans. in a 06 motor, correct? thanks

I'm not sure about that, but mine is an 07 and I have the tranny mod. You don't hear about as many problems with the 07 as 06. I did hear the 08 tranny is the best of the 3 years and haven't heard any problems from them.

07 still have problems.... at least at the shop i ride for..... if you buy new tranny gears now for the 06 07's they have a different coating straight from honda now..... but dont count out the sparks gear kit.... put it in last winter and have had great luck with it!!!
