About 10 years ago I was riding and my chain came off and smacked the case putting a hole in it, in front of the sprocket. I put JB Weld on it and it has held ever since. It does leake from that spot very minimally though. I can clean it and it will look great but after some riding there will be some coming out again. And the JB Weld looks very thick in there.

My question is should I take off the JB Weld that is on there and try to make it a better hold or is there anything I can buy to put over that exact spot that I notice the JB Weld. Basically I just dont like seeing it, it has been running strong like this for a while now.

Thanks guys,

id just clean it off, re-prep the surface and apply a few new coats

mix the red and black jb weld and it will be good to go

hey extreme,

thanks for the quick reply by just "clean it off" you mean take off the old JB Weld and add some new to it? I just worry about some falling back into the case. But im like you I think this would work and look better.

i mean remove all previous jbweld, then prep surface by a light sanding, and removing all oils and residue
