replacing the gaskets??

I want to take the cases off to polish them and i know you have to replace the gaskets. what other parts do people usually polish and out of those which ones will need a new gasket??

i dont do any poliching, but whenever you take somthing off that has a gasket you should replace it.

i am doin my cases now and YES you do have to replace the case gaskets!

It isn't very hard to replace the side gaskets. But be sure you clean the old gaskets off of the engine before you install the new ones. It probly a good idea to drain your oil before you go and rip those side cases off.

Man, you must be getting serious into this polishing stuff;) Thats the only gaskets you would have to replace on all the parts you could polish, the only other gasket is on the throttle housing and you dont really need to replace it!!
