View Full Version : IMS pegs Question

Bought some IMS Roll design pegs off a member here. There in great shape.

Anyway, when mounted the have some "play" in them. They fit and all but the slide up a little...kinda like the pegs on a dirtbike the bend up with the spring.

Is there some hardware im missing? or is this normal?

Are you using them with the pin and spring like OEM pegs? If so how did you get that to work?

I've just had them bolted with a flange bolt and they don't go anywhere - no spring, but nice and solid.

They dont sit even or flat so im going to try different plates.I dont use the spring set up either and i have a super case hardened bolt. Mine also have a tiny bit of play and i cant tighten them enough to take out the gap nor can i shim them. I will figure it out as they are to trick not to run.

No i was using that as an example with the dirtbikes how the pegs are able to "bend" up...thats what my pegs are doing. I just have a bolt there and its as tight as it goes but they still move.

Exactly the same way I have mine.

Same here. Used a bolt, they move, but they're not going anywhere.

same here ..... grade 9 bolt plus an automotive "exhaust manifold nut"

Well mine dont really "go" anywhere. But they do move about 2 inches up if you push them that way. So when i make a sharp turn they bend up. Is that what you mean by move?

mine flop around and also the dont sit level. the outside egdes are lower to the ground. My 89 doesnt have removeable footpeg plates either...

My friend had the same problem, and we welded on the frame mount to build up space grinded smooth now they are nice and tight.
