View Full Version : clutch question need advice asap fast!!! 2day

im changing the fibers in my clutch in my 06 yfz450 i just bought the fibers and new springs no metals i need to know if my metals are burnt and if i need to replace them as well ive already taken them out and drained the oil out i need to get it back together asap to get oil back in the engine here is a pic of my steels need help tonight

The way the pics look from my phone your steels look good. And not having oil in your motor for a few days won't hurt anything.

soo it wont hurt to levae it dry for a day or two and my steels arent black or real burnt lookin they are just blaish but still have shinny steel look on them

They look fine, but to be sure, stack them all together or put them on a flat surface to make sure they are not warped.

No, as long as the motor is sealed it won't hurt anything. Guys that put their bikes up for the winter drain all fluids from them when doing so. You'll be fine. And do what Daddio said on the clutches ;)
