Thaught jay woulda learned his lesson by now,

Motocross. com:
Jason Lawrence at large?

Yamaha of Troy rider allegedly wanted for assault?

Nothing like hitting the ground running at a new job, know what I mean? This may be my first day here at Motocross. com, but that doesn’t preclude me from digging up news and keeping you informed, or in this case shocked.

While the rumor mill keeps churning about James Stewart’s new ride, how Carmichael did last weekend and what is going to happen in Millville, Jason Lawrence was out to make some news of his own this weekend. It is my understanding, after numerous phone calls this morning, that JLaw has been involved in yet another incident, one that may warrant police intervention.

As the story goes, the infamous Lawrence allegedly bit the ear of his friend Jason McGriddle and attempted to stab him multiple times while in Big Bear over the weekend, and is now at-large. We haven’t received the full story yet, but will be trying throughout the day to bring you more information.

Stay tuned, as we should have more details for you soon

Can you explain to me how zero is defendnig him just off asking a simple question ?

What if Jay does have some problems, alot of you don't know the lifestyle he lived, no mom or dad being around, grandpa hauling him around ordeal. The kid has been raised by himself and his friends. Lets face it hes not the sharpest tool in the shed, but running him down, such as calling him scum, dirt and douchebag on an online forum is'nt gonna do much.

I really don't know what to say, but to run someone down who clearly has problems is uncallfor, I think if he can get the right help he will be good to go.

It all roots back to the lifestyle he lived as a kid in Jersey.

and whoevor says lawrence doesnt trian should get kicked in the neck,

VVV I thaught this woulda shut alot of trashtalkers up, I guess not :o

ZeroLogic

Now can anyone explain to me before reading the rest of this post how I was defending him?

Well ****, I ain't going to lie. I like J more than any other lites rider. (Granted some moved up) He makes the races that more fun to watch. He has great skill but isn't so great at decision making. Should we point out everyones flaws and trace them back to their childhoods? No. You guys can rip on him all you want. It won't change the way he rides, the way he acts, and the way other view him. People make mistakes. Some people have to reach rock bottom before they realize what they did and to change.
Just my opinion.

08-12-2008, 08:26 PM
lol yea that was me who said he doesnt train, and i have nothing to back that up with. thats probably wrong, but when you think of people who train hard, you think of RC and guys like that, and JLaws name doesnt ever come up.

haha, i decided to look back at my transworld mx issue with him on the front... he says

"the way i see it, its just a bunch of buII****ters on the internet with not much else to do in thei lives. When yamaha sees me do something wrong, thats when they will have a problem with it, but until then they arent going to listen to people on the internet"

well i guess yamaha should have listened, i cant believe it took them this long to release him, he is an awful rep. of the blue bike.

he also says (about that fight video above)..... "it feels like i got the death penalty for stealing a snickers bar on the whole deal"

and (to an AMA official) ...... "can we get this thing going, cause i have a party to get to"

and.... "can you guys check the record book and see if im the only guy to win a championship while on probation"

and about the outdoors last year.... "i was never really in it to win the races"

i think he is a very talented rider and deserves his championshipp, and i like a guy who trash talks and gets in a little rumble every now and then but hes gotta draw a line somewhere and also try to keep it together off the track. hes been given way too many chances. he may have had a troubled childhood, but there are a lot of other kids that did too, but wouldnt take it for granted like he does and they would respect the talent and the ability that they have and realize that they do what millions of people dream of doing and they wouldnt jeaprodize that opportunity by making immature mistakes on and off the track.

Everytime someone pipes up about J-blow, he defends the kid...and PLEASE get over the "my mommy didn't hug me, my daddy was never there and I wasn't popular in school BS!!!!! EVERYONE has to GROWUP as some point in their life and start taking RESPONSIBILITY FOR THEIR ACTIONS!!!! The "younger" generation loves to play that card!! Get off your dead *** and be a contributor to this society instead of a liability!!

I think you need to get off the computer and go sit your dead *** on the couch.

Are you that narrow minded? Honestly...so j-law is an idiot when it comes to representing himself professionally in everyones eyes. Ill admit how he was raised is not the greatest excuse, but it is a good REASON, he just has much different veiws on how to handle stuff then what the world thinks a "professional" should. In his head hes right, in yours, hes not...get over it...

jcv400ex
08-12-2008, 08:45 PM
Umm, so it takes a "professional mind" to realize that maybe I shouldn't bite someone in the ear and then try to stab him?????? OKAY!

One more time for the slow ones.....RESPONSIBILITY!

Warnerade
08-12-2008, 08:54 PM
do you know the full story behind that? Maybe his family was threatened by a guy like you who just doesnt like the way he acts on and off the track.

Calling me slow isnt gonna help you out at all. unless it makes you sleep better at night. That right there just proves my point, your unable to understand someone else's outlook on stuff, whether it be my outlook on j-law's decisions, or j-law's outlook on how to handle situations.

Thanks for proving me right :)

He needs to get his head on straight. If he really wanted to have a good name in this sport, which right now he doesnt, he would pull his head out of his ***** and focus on whats important. Apparantly he likes getting into fights though. C'mon, how could this have been a surprise to anyone. Hes been in trouble with the AMA multiple times and how many run-ins did he have with villopoto? Hes cocky and bad childhood or not i will have no respect for him until he cleans up his act and tries hard and makes an effort to accomplish more than just getting into fights and being suspended from the AMA.

i love all the grow up and get a life talk on this forum. when are you guys gonna realize that just because the world the says someone should live their life a certain doesn't mean its gonna happen. just because jlaw has all this talent and makes all this money doesn't mean that he has to be the great personality that all you parents and entusiasts want to see. he came right out and said he was never really in it to win, he likes to ride and he makes money from it, riding is his way out but he doesn't have to change his life around to make everyone else in the sport happy. so you can all go and take your opinions and shove em down someone elses throats because your b****ing isn't helping here.

Very true, but look at what hes done to the sport. If hes gonna keep acting up especially on the track, then theres no room for him out there. They shouldnt have to babysit and break up a fight for him whenever he feels like it.

What exactly has he done to the sport? Ask someone who don't watch motocross and see if they even know who J is. This isn't like football and goes right on the nation's news.

im ok with a little fighting, its motocross and its an intense sport. thats what i go to hockey games for. i like to watch the fighting. they shouldnt just let it be a free for all but dont be all over it like they are now. i just dont like the kid because of how cocky he is. he got what he had coming. everyone says "oh its just becuase hes a teenager he'll grow out of it" i guarantee one thing, if i was as lucky as him and had the job he did i wouldnt be making those mistakes

*** Updated!

It’s been a full day since you’ve received an update on this story from us, but for good reason. We’ve been trying to comb through the number of accounts of this story for the last 24 hours and have found a few conflicting perspectives.

Unfortunately we haven’t come any closer to getting an official statement from the Lawrence camp.

A few redactions from our previous post:

This incident DID NOT happen in Big Bear.

The incident DID NOT have an attempted stabbing.

Another point of clarification that we’d like to get across though is that when we said that he is “at large” we meant whereabouts unknown, not that the cops were after him.

What we do know is this: Jason and Ryan McPhillips were involved in an incident over the weekend that left both of them injured, including damage to one of Ryan’s ears.
