No, u wont need them on an mx track unless there alot of rocks or something that would damage the underside of the quad. Plus it just adds another place for mud to pile into and add more weight to the quad.

I myself prefer to run a skid plate for mx. It saves your frame in case of a bottom out, and if you ride hard enough this will happen.

For sure...it is very smart to run a chassis/frame skid. If you ride MX like you should, your frame WILL hit the ground and get beat up every now and then. I'd rather have a disposable skid plate get beat up than my frame personally.

I've run a .125 AC skid plate for years on my quad and it's taken it's fare share of hits. It's very light so you're not really losing anything by running it. PRM makes some nice skids as well.

i alwwayyyss run a skid plate, although racing in newengland is different than racing anywhere else because we have so many rocks, like the others said, id rather wreck a skidplate than a frame.;)

blingstar chassis skid, no swinger skid. my chassis skid has taken its fair share of bottoming hits. plus it doesn't add a whole lot of weight.

I heard that its good to get atleast a thin chassis skidplate something about if you dont have one and bottom out alot your frame will flatten? Skid makes do make a frame more rigid and spread out the impacts
