416kit or 460strokerkit

i have a 406 ex that i need a new top on i have t4 procircuit full exhaust stage 2 hot cam gt thunder heavy duty studs big gun rev box and ti valves. any help will be appreciated thanks

I had a 416 and now have a 440 stroker. I had a pretty well built 416 and loved it, but now that i have my 440 Its awesome. You will pay a lot less money going for the 416 which is still very quick, but the 460 if built right will have unbelievable torque. Also the 416 will be a little more reliable than the 460, but if built right you shouldnt have any problems with it. I think if you got the 416 with 11:1 compression, ported the head, got a 450 or fcr carb, and 8 plate clutch you would be happy and pay a lot less money.

I would say unless your doing drags only then stay away from the 460, they get way too hot way to fast, and not to mention a 416 will be way more reliable.

I love mine. I walked all over my buddy with a stock 400 and 14 front tooth. He started about 15' ahead of me and by the end of the 100 yards I was 25' ahead of him.
