will i notice a difference if i put a stage 2 cam in my 400ex?

if you have a bone stock ex with a stage 2 cam, you will go from abour 8:7:1 compression to low 7's.thats due to the longer lift duration. dont get me wrong, you will notice a nice strong top end, huge improvment, but you will loose a few ponnies in the lower end. most poeple compensate this loss with a highcompression piston. 11:1 usually to stay around 10:1 compression with a stage 2. iif you dont want to loose hp and compression and dont want a new piston, id stay with a stage 1. youll gain boatloads of torque on low end, but you wont notice a difference up top.

and not to mention, with that 16th tooth up front, yourll really be bummin for that 4stroke grunt if you get a stage 2 with out a hc piston.
