I have one that I race xc with little wide for some of our courses but has treated me well so far. I am excited for the 09 as the current fenders are bigger than I am use to.

The air box is restrictive, but the motor responded well to bolt ons. I have only had problems with the 08 plastic breaking.

thanks guys, i plan on buying a new 09 within a year, and to be honest for the money it looks to be the most promising, i wanted a ktm untill the price spiked, and this way i still get the ktm motor

how about the fox shocks in stock form, they any good? never rode on there spring shocks

There a little stiff in some of the really bumpy stuff, but on jumps there fine but could be softer. Colby said what he does at c and d is shorten them and they ride much better for 700 compared to 1200 aftermarket shocks. What do you plan on doing with the 450 motocross or woods, or just riding?

The shocks are probably "Very good", but Colby can dial you in to "Excellent" very economically as previously mentioned.

Mine were revalved and resprung before I bought the quad and am very happy with them so far.

im mainly a "recreation rider" hate that term,
some local mx events here and there, mostly fast paced woods riding,

this just seems like the perfect quad, powerful, reliable and affordable

Well OK then I won't call you a recreational rider lol but the stock shocks can probably be made very comfortable for you by loosening the preload up and working the clickers for dampening.

I would have the shocks setup if I were you, you will be very happy if you do. It is probably one of the best things you can do IMO. The Foxes can be done that come on it by C&D and many other guys reasonably.

all manufactuers have their problems, dont worry about new model,it is mostly cosmetic
