Went to NCMP in NC to practice and to see how my elbow was, and what do you know, it was fine:grr: Like im really glad its good, but so pissed knowing i could of gone to Lorretas and been able to race, but oh well, got all of the nationals next year!:) It was a good day. Got there aroudn 10 and rode till 3, pretty much non stop, only stoped to get some water, a sandwhich, my pills(for my elbow) and gas! Track was ungodly dusty and real slick. They haven't groomed the track or watered it in like a month so it was pretty nasty, but fun to say the least! Enjoy

come on Jordan, I am looking for that video. If you hit the jump I think you are talking about then you will be the first quad I've seen or heard about hitting that jump.

Was somebody else there hitting it or did you just decide to go for it?

Obviously you noticed Mark put that step-down back too. IT is a little different than before. I would definitely do that if I could get over the 3 bumps before it. I just can't keep enough speed.

Jon, i have to get one of my friends to upload it for me, its to large and my internet sucks on this computer..... As soon as he uploads it, i will post it up. My front end barely gets over it, but i still consider it a make, lol. No one there was doing it but me, not even the bikes. And i was doing that step down to. Out of the corner in 3rd, skim the singles and then just hold it wfo off the face and same with the tripple afterwards.

Very cool...you are breaking new ground for the quad riders. I am 99% confident nobody has made it that far off that jump. I can't wait to see how you look in the air. The guy on the Suzuki whose oil line broke was dying to try the jump. You are right about very few bikes doing the jump too.

Honestly, too many jumps are too difficult there hence the track conditions (no customers = no $$$ = little track maintenance and watering). There aren't enough people riding now. I think there are too many jumps the masses won't hit. The track is built for upper B and A level bike riders. From a $$$ perspective, think about all the jumps on that track and tell me which ones are the easy ones you would expect a "C" or "D" class racer to be clearing? There are a couple but that is it. How much fun is it to ride around a 1.5 mile track and not be able to hit 80+% of the jumps. If I owned NCMP, you would see many more option lines. I was most surprised to see the rain ruts on some of the landers that haven't been taken care of.

Well, that just leaves somebody getting the stepup all the way to the tabletop. I've seen a guy on a bike get the lander on the tabletop but I do know that no quad is going to make that. There is no way to get enough speed up for that.

My quads been down since the last week of June so I will have some making up to do. I have to say though my body has healed some so the time off is for the best. I do that triple now after the stepdown too.

when i was hitting the downhill tripple after the step on, my nose goes pretty high. I could keep it down if i want, but its way rougher and i dont go as far. I hold it pinned 3rd gear, then as soon as i land, click 4th, go wfo, then break up the face of the next table and try to scrub it. Its hard scrubbin a 75ft table that kicks you straight up, lol. Oh and the guy on the LTR(busted oil line) thats david, hes the one who told me to come back down. That JB weld held up till yesterday then it busted again. His new oil line will be in monday so he said he will have it on asap and ride more often. He never attempted it(tripple) when he was up and running, but im sure he will.

My honest opinion about the track is its to easy.... The jumps are just wide open(some) and alot of them are easy to do just cruising also. They need either more technical stuff, or make more turns to keep everyone on their feet, also, make the track wider, wayyy to narrow.

Jordan,

Are you saying that if you owned NCMP that you would make the track more difficult thus bringing in more customers?

Do you think NCMP is more of less difficult than Birch Creek?

Did you go over to the practice track? How many riders over there versus the race track?

If i owned NCMP i would make it like BPG honestly. You have 2 lines, and if you dont do one, then you have another smaller jump to do. It would be hard considering they have races there at NCMP but idk, i like the multiple line deal. I keep going back to NCMP because its a fun, slightly big jumps, and just keeps you on the edge, but like tracks that have small jumps, i find them boring and dont go back, thats why i say multiple lines, you can choose and see what fits your riding style best! Ya i know theres always tons of ppl at the practice track, so much more there than the main track, but i just find that to easy and boring.

But jon, my friend shawn aka warnerade is uploading some clips, ill post them as soon as hes done with them!

That is what I think too...more option lines. There just aren't enough top level riders to support a track. I am being selfish in that I am not sure NCMP will be around in a few years if more people don't start going on a regular basis. I would like to see more people hitting more jumps. When I think about the track, I monitor in my mind how many people of those that are there are hitting each of the jumps. You want a 50% of your customers hitting at least 50% of your jumps.

There is a reason you have tracks like High Point and Budds that don't offer weekend riding for the masses. They are making big, big bucks when they have a National. NCMP doesn't have that level of support. They have to cater more to the average Joe bringing his kids to the track too.

shame, shame...you didn't make the 75' tabletop after talking about how easy NCMP is. :D :D :D Just kidding, I know you land that jump. I've seen you do it many times.

lol, honestly, i dont do that jump anymore, its alot faster to land 3/4 the way down the table, then break and go to the inside. If you jump the whole thing its real hard to break to go real tight to the inside. Atleast my laptimes were faster when i did that lol

Jordan, try to talk him into August 23rd and 24th weekend. We are going to be there...but not planning to head back for home until Tuesday afternoon.

Whick track is that?

BTW, I bought a Blu-Ray player today and plan to order a Sony HD camcorder from buydig tomorrow. Just need a blu-ray burner and I am set. Have a buddy down here who is really good with video editing. I think you saw the video he took of my race at Birch Creek that looks like two camera were used because he intermingled the video from my two races shot from different spots on the track.
