Lectron Carbs

Does anyone have any experience with non-accelerator pump carbs on the 300? I have seen the round slide Keihin's and Lectrons for sale for the 300 and wondered what kind of changes if any you have to do to make one of these carbs work. Any help is greatly appreciated. Step son just moved up a few classes to the 300. Thanks!
