this is on my 2004 yz250f

there is a hole where a plug is supposed to be i am guessing, it is near the radiator, its above the header i just need to know the name of it whatever it is. oil comes out of it kind of like a mist when the bike is running.

ANY HELP WOULD BE GREAT

looks like a decompression plug hole to me.

i just typed in google decompression plug hole and it sounds like it could be it, but what would cause this to happen???

Stock ones are very weak and can blow out causing oil to spew all over. My 04 yfz has one and i took stock one out and replaced it with an aluminum one.

if you change it out be cautious of tighting that bolt on the side too much, it strips very easily.
