What type of oil should I go with?

I live in the Ice Box of the US. Yesturday it was -17 deg. F. when i woke up. I run Mobile 1 15w50 without ANY troubles.

Wow. Ok thats a little bit too cold! Whats stock for it? My manula isnt here yet and i need to get oil in it!!!!!

the dealer is probabaly going to seggest HP10w/30. Mine always does:rolleyes:

The manual says to use
10w-40 for protection from -18 and up
10w-30 for 0-85
20w-40 or 20w-50 for -8 and up

10W40 works good for year around. unless its extremely hot in the summer 90+ then use 20W50. i use only honda oil.

wow that makes me feel a lot more comfortable when i use that oil in 20 degree weather:D

if i was riding at this time of the year Id be using 10w30

Thanks guys. I installed a eco- effiecint heater this morning! I have been wanting to do it for a few years! Its always about 60 in there. So im runnning honda 10w30 for now. Its working great. All new parts installed. Thanks for the help!
