It kinda depends on what series you run but most people are around 46 and 47 i think

The XC series i run they cut trail to atleast 50 in for the LTR's but most guys (including myself) run 47

Never have measured mine, but I run stock a-arms with 3-2 wheels, and can say that I wouldn't want mine any wider. I know most of the guys I run with run +1 arms and 4-1 wheels.

it is really wooded most of the races up here but i think if i stay in the 46 range it will be a lot more stable then

Shocks will play a role in this, as well as wheel offsets. Also make sure when measuring width, that it is measured with the rider sitting on the quad! It will be slightly wider this way.
