I have had both, HMF is way better in performance and I like the tone better, more grunt.

I had an E-Series and wouldn't recommend one to anyone. Replacing the E-Series with my current Yoshi pipe was a decision I'd happily make again.

i have a e-series exhaust and i have never had any type of trouble with it knock on wood. i think it gave me decent power also.

white brothers went out of business a few months ago. Whatever exhuast is available for sale is just leftover stock. The e-series is known to break at the mount and is too big in diameter and has to come from the factory dented in so it doesn't hit the brake caliper. It used to be the best pipe for the 400ex. But that was back in 1999 when there were 3 choices WB, DG, or Cobra.

Adjusting the pipe to quad mods? Can anyone say marketing gimmick? That doesn't even make sense. Tune your jetting for a particular exhuast and mods and you are good to go.

white bros didnt go out of busness. they were bought out by vance and hines. call v and h and say u need some parts or anything. they still offer wb replacement parts. some at no charge.:macho

Fact, HMF makes more power than WB in the slip on department. Full system................Thats a different story.

In the five years I've owned my e-series it's only had 1 small crack and it was an easy fix and it will not happen again.Whitebrothers all the way lol....

on a dyno the HMF slip on made more power than the WB e-series slip on and full system. I have the graphs on my PC at home, i'm on vacation right now and i'm using a laptop so I cant post them up for another week

Thanks REDRIDDER, you inspired me to do some research. I found that both pipes are not the best but WB is better of the two. Look

Doesnt a HMF slip on work w/ the FMF powerbomb header.

I have had both and run a HMF now and to be totally honest I could not tell a difference in the 2 when I switched. I like the looks of a HMF much better but perfomance wise they are the same.

if you look into it more they used the HMF slip on and most of them they tested are full systems. I have the dyno graphs to prove the HMF slip on is better not a huge difference but there is a difference there and the HMF is normally much cheaper. So more power for less money or less power for more money which one makes sense more? getting more for less is what everyone wants.

how much hp are we talking? for a slip on hmf. i just got one and i thought they give like 7 or 8 hp but my friend told me not more then 2 and he was dead serious he said the only reason you buy a pipe is for more exaust flow so you can drop more money in to your engine.

08-09-2008, 09:54 PM
ok, my FULL white bros aluminum pro, gave me about 6-7 on my 450r. so yea mabye 2-3:rolleyes:

08-10-2008, 12:22 PM

holly thats weird i always thought they gave way more. because all your back pressure comes from your end not the header. so i thought headers dont do nothing exept look cool. and i havent seen his venom pipe yet but he told me he didnt notice really anything and its a full sys.

venom is very popular. heres there web site.http://www.venomperformance.net/pages/index.cfm paste that in your tool bar.

i noticed a good bit more hp when i added my wb aluminum pro. so im pretty sure that you would notice alot more than what i did because venom is the better of the 2!:ermm:
