here it is. a '98 KX 125. its hot pro taper bars, fmf fatty header, and a pro circuit factory 304 silencer. this bike flies. i picked it up for a grand. the top end is fresh, and suspension was refreshed not that long ago.

nope i still got it. i bought the bike from my buddy. normally i dont like to buy used on stuff that gets beat apart like dirtbikes/quads, but i have seen him ride it and he usually goes nice and easy with it, plus he has always had good luck with his machines.

i am paying him over three months for it $400, $300, and $300...that way i can keep the quad.

THATS GOOD.

if im not mistaken you posted the thread about possibly selling your quad. i knew you would regret it if you did :blah:

i ride bikes and quads (mx) and theres somthing about having 4 wheels thats nice.

anyways, good luck with the bike. keep it shiny :p

thank ya'll. i can ride it faster through most of the trails than i can my quad. once i got used to the way the bike feels...i love it. i dont have to picky with my lines like on the quad, and it is so light. we have alot of rock strewn hills (big rocks), that would make me have to really look at where i was gonna go with the quad, on the bike i run right up them. it is great.

congrats. that thing looks great for a '98. very few still in that nice of condition. im finally gettin back into quads, after been a bike-only guy, since middle school (mid 90s). its nice having both now. if i had to sell 1, i really dont know what to do, cause both have their qualities that make them unique / fun.

i spent about an hour and a half with a tooth brush on an engine that was already relatively clean...so any dirt that didnt come off pretty much wont come off unless i pull the engine, which i dont plan on doing yet...lol. heres some more pics of the engine.

Wow that thing looks mint for a 98.. And you only paid a grand for it, I wish I could find one that cheap around my neck of the woods.. I would love a 250 but I think the 125 or even a 80 would be cool to screw around on..

my buddy has a '99 KX250 which is why he sold me the 125, and i seriously think it has too much power for our riding area. if we did alot of fields where everything was wide open, i would love the 250, but we have tight trails and i think it is just too much power to try to tame

MINE- that is a very nice bike you had there...what yr was that?

looks good, if you want to get some more of the stains and what not out of the engine, i would take a sos pad, or steet wool with soap. i can believe what it did to my frame and engine.

good idea. i will try that.

i had to replace the grips and front brake lever cuz i looped it out the other day doing a wheelie...lol. im still getting used to the twist throttle when i have the front end off the ground. i find it much harder to let off the gas doing wheelies with the twist over the thumb

the 125 fourstrokes are slugs. if you gonna buy a 4 stroke trail bike, then you will want at least a CRF230. i would buy an XR 400 though.

passenger pegs, he was thinking about it, but since he still has the 400 i think he may have changed his mind.

haha thats pure goonage.. on a serious note you'd toast the clutch on a 125 trying to pull around two people.
