did you soak the new fiber disc in oil before you installed them.

so could i pull it a part and try it ?

see what puzzles me is when i first built it. it never made this squalling sound so if it was them not being soaked wouldnt it do it from the start and will it hurt to keep riding it?

Thanks for your help!

The clutch plates in those are arranged as carbon fiber plate followed by a steel clutch plate and so on. Sometime the steel clutch plates will heat up and bend a little causing the clutch to squall, this is completely normal and won't cause any troubles unless you wan't to fix it, it's an easy fix. Also this may not even be happening, the 300ex clutches all squall a little with age, I have a 2006 and mine is beginning to squall a little but it is normal. I wouldn't worry about it unless yur bike takes off on you with the clutch completely in when you pop it in gear.

If you have put grease on them the grease may also just be cold and causing the plates to catch a little, not probable though.
