This is a good all purpose tire. I ran them on my CR500.

I got this (http://www.motosport.com/offroad/product/IRC-IX07S-REAR-TIRE-1009019/?prodId=195859&sMMY=) on my bike. Hooks up so well and havn't had a lot of wear on her. The road kills it though.:ermm:

Here's a picture of it on my bike, it has a lot more meat than the picture shows.

hmm, the millville i have heard a few good things about, and the tire zerologic has looks like it bites really well. i most likely will get one of those two. do you think DOT approved tires will last any longer tho?

I've been using the Maxxis Maxxcross IT for two seasons now. Similar riding to what you're doing and it's performed and held up great. Price is right too.

Any off road tire that is dot approved isn't going to bite very well. As far as the roads go... You have to be very gentle with the throttle and brakes to get a tire to last anytime at all. Hard take offs and road wheelies will eat a tire up in no time.

hmm, i am thinking about getting the tire punk@$$ has, seems like he has had good luck, and i will just take it easy on the roads, but it is so tempting to go WOT a lot.

thanks everyone
