u can do both. but i would just trow on the k&n u will get a little more power that way but you got the right idea for sure. when u put a pipe on it you should look at the fmf mega bomb thats what i got lots of power and sounds good

Also im talkin to some ****s here at the can am shop, and they said they never even heard of the pink wire(lol) and if i cut it, its about 100% chance it would void my warrenty, so when i do cut it should i not even tell them about it when i gotta take it back in for any service?

yea i wish people at the shop had an idea!! take out the baffel and remove the air box lid and put on your k&n then cut the wire. just tape it up so u cant tell if they dont know u dont tell u will feel way more power when u cut it. do u think if it hurt your quad can am would make it so easy to cut they put it in a loop for u and tell u it is a richer fuel map with more timing

I wouldn't think there would be a problem with your warranty if you cut the wire. Can-Am specifically designed that wire for its customers to be able to adjust the efi. They looped it out of the harness so it was easier to get to, and on every quad it is taped with blue electrical so it stands out.

You will lose power if you take the air box lid off. Something to do with them being fuel injected.

i dont know but we put in on a dyno with the air box lid on, then put it on with it off and it was putting out more power with it on.

Wes, he is asking ds450racer if they saw more power with the lid on with a stock or modded bike. He wasn't asking if your bike is stock.
