chain guard

i dont have a chain guard for my 400ex and i am wanting to get one before i crack the case. one of my buddies just did it on his dirt bike and it was a eye opener for me, i heard that the stock plastic ones are about the best. do you guys know of any good aftermarket ones? thanks

Go to ebay or bikebandit.com and get you a stock one to go back on it. i have a stock one on mine and i dont have any problems with it. Just keep the chain adjusted and oiled and you'll be aight.....:D :D :D

If you get one off of say a 2001 model, they are metal. It may hold up better than the new plastic ones.

Mines an 05 and it came stock with a metal one. Ive never seen a plastic one. But i believe they are all the same.

maybe its the '08 I saw with the plastic one. I dunno.
