lets see i have stock exhaust manifolds, into stock catalatic converters, into straight pipes. all 3 inch. well, they rnt all that straight. but no mufflers. ive only been stopped once and they gave me a warning. if i get it over 3500 rpms, it kinda gets loud.

I have an 88 SWB Silverado, but its just has stock pipes. Im thinkin of gettin some put on it, but dont know what to get. Im not very mechanically inclined either, but I want something that offers good performace and a low price, plus I dont want some thats gonna be hard on the engine...I just want it to sound good. ;)
Suggestions?

2001 Silverado HD with a 6.0. True duals with 30" Thrush packs and 2.5" pipe that is exited at the corners like the old 70's trucks. Sounds MEAN.

no exhuast system. I run straight out of the headers. Let me know if you want some sound clips. I can email them to you. I have a 87 ford f-150 striaght 6. Its fast. has a few mods. I have gibsons that i use for less noise. I like running nothing though. It is sweet! Just can't let it idel to much ro else it burns plastic. Been running fine for a long time. The ATF mod is even better though!

I have changed my mind, goin with a little cheaper setup. Im gonna go with a Flowmaster 40 single 2.5 in/out and dump it right behind the rear axle.
